About KoreaPlugCheck

KoreaPlugCheck is a free, independent tool built for travelers planning a trip to South Korea. Figuring out whether your phone charger, laptop, or hair dryer will work at your destination shouldn't require digging through forum threads and outdated blog posts, so we built a single page that answers the question directly: select your country, and see exactly how your voltage, frequency, and plug type compare to Korea's.

Why we built this

Plug and voltage information for Korea is scattered across travel forums, outdated blog posts, and general "world plug" reference sites that aren't tailored to a specific trip. We wanted a fast, mobile-friendly page that gives a clear yes/no answer without any sign-up, app download, or clutter.

How the data is sourced

Voltage, frequency, and plug type data is compiled from publicly available electrical standards references and cross-checked against official travel advisory resources. Standards for a country rarely change, but if you spot an error, please let us know via the contact page.

Who runs this site

KoreaPlugCheck is an independently operated resource, not affiliated with any government tourism board or airline. It's maintained on a best-effort basis as a reference tool, not a substitute for checking your specific device's rating plate before travel.
